Rather, we’re faced with the more difficult choice — the one that commands us to love God and live. Live the love of God in a world that does not love God.

Jesus, the fruit of Mary’s womb, like the fruit in the Garden of Eden, would eventually be crushed for our sins and hung back on a tree. Thus, we have a perfect bookend to the first era of humankind and the beginning of a new era with the gates of Heaven now reopened.
